Here is a photo of some eight week old tan babies. There are 3 boys and one girl.
Their names are Indian Corn, Field Corn, Sweet Corn, and Popcorn. The girl, of course, is Sweet Corn.

Please excuse my ignorance as I haven't been following your blog for very long, but are those eating, showing or pet rabbits? Whichever they are though, they are definately beatiful! Do you save their pelts (if they aren't pets)?
ReplyDeleteThe answer to your question is all of the above. I show, and that is what tans are for, primarily. They are a fancy breed. They only get about the size of a wild rabbit full grown, so we eat the culls. I also raise a few meat breeds, and we sell the meat dressed, and eat them ourselves. I do have many pelts in the freezer awaiting tanning. That is next summers project. I intend on making pillows, doilies, and liners for shoes, to start with.
